About the ArtiST
Holly is the founder and instructor of Hill Country Atelier, located in the heart of downtown Kerrville, Texas. She formerly resided in Seattle, Washington where she taught the Part-Time Classical Atelier at Georgetown Atelier and classes at the Gage Academy.
Holly is a graduate of Gage Academy's Aristides Atelier, where she studied with Juliette Aristides, and of Georgetown Atelier, where she studied with Tenaya Sims. She also holds a BFA from Pacific Northwest College of Art, where she graduated with the Governor’s Award for Thesis Work, and a BA in anthropology from the University of Texas. She began her art studies at the Aegean Center for the Fine Arts in Paros, Greece, and continued to broaden her range of practice, including 2 years of Zen Brushwork with a master in Japan. More recently, Holly has been learning egg tempera. As always, drawing the figure from life is her foundation.
